The IEB hosts the VIII Workshop on Economics of Education

The evaluation of teachers’ performance, the effects of national education for immigrant workers or the organizational models of academic institutions. These are some of the topics that will be discussed in the VIII Workshop on Economics of Education, organized by the Institut d’Economia de Barcelona, and which is held from septembre 7th and 8th at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Barcelona.

The program includes the presentation of 10 papers and the conferences of two keynotes. The doctor of the University of Surrey, Sandra McNally, will open the sessions on the first day with the conference “Evaluating teaching practices: experimental and non-experimental estimates”, while the researcher of the Norwegian University of Science & Technology, Torberg Falch , will be in charge of starting the second day with the talk “Decentralized school ownership, mergers, and school quality.”
