Magdalena Domínguez and Alessio Romarri are joining the IEB as PHD students

The IEB has incorporated two new PhD students, linked to the Department of Public Economics, Political Economy and Spanish Economy of the University of Barcelona (UB).

Magdalena Domínguez is a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and has gained experience as a researcher and assistant professor at the Universidad de la República and the Center for Economic Resarch of Uruguay. His lines of research focus on the public economy, the economy of crime and the applied economy. His curriculum includes publications such as the article “The cost of crime and violence in five Latin American countries.”

On the other hand, Alessio Romarri is a Master’s Degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the Bocconi University and has been a researcher in the unit of poverty and development of the Research Center Luca d’Agliano in Milan. The IEB will focus its research on the Economy of development and Public Economy.
