Professor Lorraine Dearden (director of Education Sector Institute for Fiscal Studies and Professor of Economics and Social Statistics Institute of Education, University of London) defends that if the incomes of grants or loans are increased, the number of public university students will remain stable despite the increase in prices. Dearden took part at the IV Workshop on Economics for Education: Higher Education Financing Policy organized by the IEB, which also featured Susan Dynarski, a professor of Education and Public Policy at the University of Michigan, and a research associate professor at the National Bureau of Enonomic Research in Massachusetts.
