{"id":432447,"date":"2026-07-23T11:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T09:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/el-ieb-incorpora-a-ocho-nuevos-investigadores\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T12:28:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T10:28:21","slug":"el-ieb-incorpora-a-ocho-nuevos-investigadores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/el-ieb-incorpora-a-ocho-nuevos-investigadores\/","title":{"rendered":"The Barcelona Institute of Economics recruits eight new researchers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) continues to expand and consolidate its position with the recruitment of eight new researchers in the Research Group on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/gim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Governments and Markets (GiM)<\/strong><\/a>: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/mattia-borsati\/mattia-borsati-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mattia Borsati<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/exadaktylos-filippos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Filippos Exadaktylos<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/fageda-sanjuan-xavier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Xavier Fageda Sanjuan<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/marino-maria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mar\u00eda Marino<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/maynou-pujolras-laia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Laia Maynou Pujolr\u00e0s<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/nonell-torres-rosa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rosa Nonell Torres<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/suppa-nicolai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nicolai Suppa<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/teixido-jordi-j\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jordi Teixid\u00f3 Figueras<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was approved at a recent meeting of the Board of Trustees, who also endorsed the addition of an affiliated researcher, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/albalate-del-sol-daniel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Daniel Albalate del Sol<\/strong><\/a>, and two doctoral candidates, <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/ferrer-cristina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cristina Ferrer<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ieb.ub.edu\/en\/researchers\/sabater-roger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Roger Sabater<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With these appointments, the IEB hopes to strengthen its international position as a research centre and extend its current lines of research, thus maintaining the excellence that has characterized the Institute\u2019s activities since its inception.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) continues to expand and consolidate its position with the recruitment of eight new researchers in the Research Group on Governments and Markets (GiM): \u00a0Mattia Borsati, Filippos Exadaktylos, Xavier Fageda Sanjuan, Mar\u00eda Marino, Laia Maynou Pujolr\u00e0s, Rosa Nonell Torres, Nicolai Suppa and Jordi Teixid\u00f3 Figueras.
