Two months ago, the researchers Ruiz Valenzuela and Vázquez Grenno took over the direction of the Public Policy Research Programme of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB). The programme’s mission is to promote research related to the creation and implementation of public sector activities designed to satisfy social needs.

The research in this programme revolves around the following areas: Economics of Education, Economics of Health, Innovation, the Labour Market, Immigration and Security Policies.

In addition to the two directors, the programme’s researchers include the professors Andreu Arenas, Cristina Bellés, Caroline Coly, Daniel Montolio, Martí Parellada, Pilar Sorribas, Tetyana Surovtseva, Anastasia Terskaya and Judit Vall.
