Professor François Cohen joins the IEB as Researcher within the Framework of the Chair of Energy Sustainability

François Cohen, visiting professor at the University of Barcelona (UB), has joined the research group of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) under the framework of the Chair of Energy Sustainability – UB. With a PhD from Mines ParisTech, Professor Cohen is also an honorary member of the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School, and an honorary researcher at the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford.

His main areas of research are those linked to policies to combat climate change, as well as the study and analysis of its socio-economic consequences. As an expert, he has contributed to a large number of reports to the European Commission, as well as to the environment ministries of France and the United Kingdom.
