Researchers José García-Quevedo and Daniel Montolio, New Professors of the UB

Doctors José García-Quevedo and Daniel Montolio, co-directors of the research programme in public policies of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB), have been appointed professors of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Both are researchers of the IEB and members of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Dr. Dr. José García-Quevedo, who is also a researcher of the Chair of Energy Sustainability, is an expert in innovation. For his part, Dr. Daniel Montolio is a specialist in the field of public economics and the economics of crime.

Co-Directors of the Research Programme in Public Policies

The research programme in public policies aims to encourage research related to the design and implementation of public sector activities in order to meet social needs. In particular, the research programme revolves around these five themes: economics of education, health economics, innovation, labour market, and security policies.
