IEB researchers of the Barcelona Institute of Economics, Dirk Foremny and Javier Vázquez-Grenno, have been appointed associate professors of the University of Barcelona. This appointment is a recognition of their work and research.

Dirk Foremny holds a PhD from the University of Bonn (Germany) and his areas of interest are political economy, federalism and fiscal policy. Javier Vázquez-Grenno received his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and his research focuses on applied econometrics, the economy of migration, labor economics and pensions.
