The University of Barcelona School of Economics invites applications for seven six-year Assistant Professor positions in Economics starting in June 2025. Promotion to full tenure (Associate Professor) is contingent upon favorable evaluation and governmental accreditation.
Two of these positions correspond to the Department of Economics (Section of Public Economics) in the following fields of interest:
– Environmental; Agricultural Economics
– Health; Education; Welfare
– Labor; Demographic Economics
– Political Economy
– Public Economics
– Urban, Rural, Regional Economics

Candidates are expected to show outstanding commitment to research and must have completed a PhD degree by December 1, 2024.
The successful applicant for the positions in the Department of Economics (Section of Public Economics) will have the opportunity to carry out research activities in the framework of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB). The IEBs goals are to promote research excellence in economics, to disseminate its results to society, and to contribute to the debate and decision-making process in economic policy (ieb.ub.edu & twitter.com/FundacioIEB).
