L’IEB organitza una àmplia varietat d’activitats acadèmiques i de divulgació, com seminaris, IEB IWIP, workshops i jornades.
En els seminaris, investigadors de l’IEB i externs presenten investigacions avançades amb l’objectiu d’intercanviar idees amb altres investigadors. Els IEB IWIP (Internal Work in Progress) són sessions reservades a investigacions en una fase inicial per tal de proporcionar primeres opinions i comentaris. Els workshops i simposis reuneixen investigacions capdavanteres relacionades amb els temes dels programes de recerca de l’IEB. A les jornades participen investigadors, experts i responsables de l’àmbit civil i institucional amb l’objectiu de fomentar el debat sobre temes d’interès general.
