The IEB creates the new Research Programme in Public Policies

The IEB has broadened its thematic research areas with the creation of the Public Policies Programme. This new programme is directed by IEB researchers Daniel Montolio and José García Quevedo, and integrates the previous Human Capital Programme. Thus, in addition to promoting analyses related to education and human capital, this new area will also include research in innovation, the labour market, health economics and security policies, fundamentally from an economic perspective.

The programme therefore proposes to promote research related to the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies aimed at meeting social needs and improving the wellbeing of citizens.

In addition to Montolio and García Quevedo, the programme includes Zelda Brutti, Judit Vall, Javier Vázquez, Oriol Escardíbul, Martí Parellada, Josep Lluís Raymond and Esteve Sanromà as researchers; Mauro Mediavilla, Pere Arqué and Francisco Mas as associate researchers, and Juan Ducal, Jordi Planelles, Kinga Tchorzewska, Alessio Romarri and Magdalena Domínguez as PhD students.
